The conference is devoted to the  broadly conceived issue of well-being of local communities and their members, with the intention of deepening the knowledge about the dependencies in which it remains with the level and nature of local development. While the exploration of these dependencies was the subject of a similar conference, organized two years ago jointly by the Statistics Poland and CSWU,  on Quality of life and spatial cohesion. Interactions of development and welfare in the local context, so this can be considered as its extension, in two interrelated dimensions - cohesion and innovation - treated at the same time as factors of well-being (individual and group / community).
